About Us

Mission

PRQF is a non-profit organization aiming at presenting audiences the diversity of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender communities through audiovisual media. With this film festival we aspire to create a forum that stimulates a dialogue about queer culture. Our program seeks to entertain and educate audiences through quality films which showcase queer lifestyles and promote a better understanding of LGBT communities.

Educational Component

Throughout the year we organize various activities such as screening series, panel discussions, and conferences, among others. We also offer screenings free of charge open to the general public in educational and cultural centers. Moreover, we support and work in alliances with organizations and projects that serve the LGBT communities and/or promote the development of the film industry in Puerto Rico.
